This is John Newman, son of  Lisa  Newman, taken in 1998.  He has a heart bigger than Texas, and is smart as a whip.  John attended the St. Vincent's Christmas party last year (1998) with his parents and lent a helping hand in all areas...without anyone having to ask.  When John heard about  the party and some of the PA families in need, he decided on his own to raise monies at his school to present to Small Miracles Foundation.

John raised $400 through his schoolmates, and this money was used by SMF toward the purchase of a new computer system that was given to Billy Lamon for educational use.  Billy and family have had to cope with their mother's bout with terminal cancer.  Small Miracles Staff and all volunteers are proud of the  work John Newman put forth to assist Billy and the Children at St. Vincent's....he is a person we all admire and love.

This year, X-mas 1999, John gave up his allowance so that some of the homeless women and children at Trevor's Place would have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks again John...you're a very thoughtful person.

Pictured above is Lisa Newman.  She first heard about Small Miracles Foundation when she learned that someone stole the "donation cannister" from the Shop-n-Bag store in the Mayfair Shopping Center in 1998.  As a result, she phoned the Small Miracles Foundation office and offered to replace the stolen money.

Once again, when she learned that Small Miracles Foundation was holding a X-Mas Party for the homeless mothers and children at Trevor's place, Lisa Newman phoned the SMF volunteer line and offered to buy gifts for all the children at Trevor's, and to volunteer her time.

Lisa Newman is not only beautiful on the outside, but is a unique, good hearted, caring individual.  Her warmth and deep feeling for others are evident by just looking in her eyes.

From all the mothers and children at Trevor's Place, and from SMF Directors, thanks again Lisa, for reaching out to help needy invividuals.  We couldn't have had a successful event without your help!  We love you very much.
