Brandon Denny, age 4, a survivor

A REQUEST TO ASSIST THE DENNY FAMILY: Their four year old son, Brandon, was seriously injured in the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building, along with his 2 year old sister, Rebecca. Brandon had a hole in his head the size of a quarter.

"Brandon and Rebecca Denny were in the America's Kids Day Care Center when the bomb exploded. They are two of the five children who got out alive. The Denny family has got to be the most courageous family I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know.

When little Brandon was rescued, he had a hole in his head the size of a quarter. Surgerv was required to remove a portion of the brain which was protruding. Through endless days of rehabilitation, the young boy continued to smile, with his parents taking shifts by his side at all times. Brandon had developed an infection in the brain, which caused swelling. Another surgery was performed. The infection was a blessing in disguise because the surgery resulted in the increased use of Brandon's right arm, which was previously immobile. Brandon had not yet regained his ability to speak, and his motor functions were not quite 100%, but his parents remained hopeful and Brandon continued to smile. Brandon's sister Rebecca, was also injured badly, with multiple lacerations caused by flying glass and sheet rock. The Denny family has pretty much lived at hospitals and rehabilitation centers since April 19th, 1995."

Following are excerpts from a letter from greatful father, James Denny, received by Small Miracles Foundation:

"The word miracle seems to go hand in hand with Brandon & Rebecca. Claudia and I feel we were granted two miracles by God, and only God knows for now what great plans are in Brandon's and Rebecca's future. Brandon still has some debris in his head. He spent 126 days in hospitals, had 4 major brain surgeries, is still unable to walk, but he is starting to talk. He has been my strength over these long months. His attitude has always been, and remains, positive and happy.  We put out more money monthly than we bring in. Brandon goes for therapy 3 times a week, 3 hours per day."

The Denny family thanks their Pennsylvania neighbors for their words of encouragement and financial support in this time of need.

Kayla Marie, age 3, deceased

A REQUEST TO ASSIST THE TITSWORTH FAMILY: Their three year old daughter Kayla Marie was killed in the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building.  Mr & Mrs. Titsworth and their older daughter suffered injuries, but survived.

"The Titsworth family was at the federal building in Oklahoma City when the bomb exploded on April 19th. They were at the Army Recruiting Office enroute to their new residence. Mr. Titsworth had just been transferred to the Oklahoma City office, and had brought his wfe and two daughters in to meet the people he would soon be working with. All of their belongings were in the vehicle parked near the federal building. The Titsworth's youngest daughter, Kayla Marie (age 3) was killed in the blast.  Mr. & Mrs. Titsworth, and their oldest daughter, Katie, survived but suffered injuries. The Titsworth's have been too proud to ask for any assistance, and could definitely use some help.  Mrs. Titsworth found out, after the bombing, that she is expecting their third child.  Your assistance to this family would help in their recovery."

Ashley Marie, age 4, deceased

A REQUEST TO ASSIST THE TREANOR FAMILY: Their four year old daughter Ashley Marie was killed in the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building, along with Ashley's grandmother and grandfather.

"The Treanors lost their 4 year old daughter, Ashley Marie, and Mr. Treanor's mother and father. The elder Treanors had taken Ashley with them on a little outing on April 19th, to visit the Social Security Office. The elder Treanors were farmers, and all of their children reside in homes located on the property. Since their death, the entire Treanor family continues to struggle to keep the homestead which has been in the family for years. This family will need a "small miracle" to respect their parents wishes to keep the homestead in the family, and keep everyone together without being forced into bankruptcy."

Excerpts from a 4 page letter from Ashley's mother, received by Small Miracles Foundation:

"April19, 1995 took my only daughter and her grandparents. This has left me with a hole in my life that nothing can fill. I have lost my beloved in-laws, and won't have a daughter to teach to sew, or cook. There will be no first day of school, no first dates, no graduations, no dance recitals, no proms, no weddings and no grandchildren from my daughter.  Dad left us a considerable debt of over $20,000, and there was no insurance to cover this.  None of us are financially capable of taking on this debt  we are in danger of losing our house."
